Samsung has started rolling out the January 2026 security update to the Galaxy M34 and Galaxy F34. The build versions are M346BXXSAEZA2 and E346BXXSAEZA2, respectively. Both phones are receiving the latest patch in India, while the Galaxy M34 is also getting the update in Sri Lanka.
The January 2026 security update addresses more than 50 vulnerabilities across Galaxy devices. The patch bundle includes fixes from both Android and Samsung, with four high-severity issues originating from Google. Once the update is downloaded and installed on your device, these security risks are effectively eliminated.
If you own either of these Galaxy phones and live in the mentioned regions, it’s a good idea to check for updates. To do so, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. After the update file is downloaded, tap Install now. And your Galaxy phone will soon reboot running the latest patch.
Additionally, the Galaxy M34 and Galaxy F34 are eligible for four years of software and security updates. Since they launched with Android 13, they should receive updates through Android 17, including One UI 9. As a result, One UI 8.5 will be the next major feature update for these devices, although it may take some time to arrive on them and other models in the same category.
