Samsung is in the process of updating Galaxy devices to Android 15-based One UI 7. The company has already updated all eligible flagship models worldwide. Several budget and mid-range models have also received this update in recent weeks. The latest to join the party are the Galaxy M15 and Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro.

One UI 7 rolls out Galaxy M15 and Tab Active 4 Pro

The Korean version of Samsung’s 5G-enabled Galaxy M15 is receiving the One UI 7 update with the firmware build number M156SKSU4BYE3. The company should soon release the update for this budget handset in other markets. The build number may vary, but users will get the same set of features and changes.

One UI 7 is a massive update with tons of goodies. Samsung has revamped various UI elements, app icons, and system animations for improved visuals. The Android 15-based update also introduces new features across several stock apps, including Camera, Gallery, and My Files. Security enhancements are another highlight of One UI 7.

Alongside the Galaxy M15 5G, all of these goodies are rolling out to the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro in South Korea. The OTA (over the air) package for this model bears firmware version T636NKOU8DYE8 and has a file size of approximately 3GB. Both of these devices are getting Samsung’s May 2025 security patch with One UI 7. The latest security release addresses nearly 80 vulnerabilities.

While Samsung launched the Galaxy M15 in March 2024 with Android 14 onboard, the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro arrived in September 2022 running Android 12 out of the box. Both devices are eligible for four generations of OS updates, meaning that they will get the Android 16-based One UI 8 update later this year. It will be the final OS release for the rugged tablet. The budget phone will go on to receive updates up to One UI 10 (Android 18).
