Galaxy M05, F05 and Tab S9 FE Series Grab One UI 8 Update

Samsung has now begun rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8 update for the budget Galaxy M05 and Galaxy F05, along with the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. The brand seems to be wrapping up the One UI 8 rollout quickly. The few remaining devices are expected to receive the update in the coming weeks.

One UI 8 released for Galaxy M05, F05, Tab S9 FE & Tab S9 FE+

The Galaxy M05 is receiving the One UI 8 update in India, carrying the October 2025 security patch with build number M055FXXU5CYJ4. Its sibling, the Galaxy F05, is also grabbing the Android 16 update in India with build version E055FXXU5CYJ4 and the same security patch. Both devices are completing their major Android upgrade journey with this version. They are not eligible for One UI 9. However, Samsung might still update the duo to One UI 8.5 sometime next year.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series, comprising the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+, has started receiving the One UI 8 update in South Korea. The Wi-Fi variant of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE gets the build number X510XXU8DYJ4. It includes the October 2025 security patch as well.

One UI 8 introduces several UI and design enhancements, including an improved Weather app, smoother animations, a 90:10 split-screen ratio, and new clock styles. It also offers better overall performance and fluidity. Users can expect improved system stability and more consistent performance across everyday tasks, making the overall experience more refined and visually polished.
