Samsung is getting closer to wrapping up the One UI 8 rollout. This week turned out to be one of the slowest weeks so far. There was barely any movement on the One UI 8 front. In fact, only a single budget Galaxy tablet received the update. This made it one of the most sluggish weeks since the rollout began. Last updated on November 14.

The only Galaxy device that received the One UI 8 update this week

Samsung started off the stable One UI 8 rollout in mid-September, beginning with the Galaxy S25 series. Since then, a long list of Galaxy phones and tablets has been updated. The entire S-series lineup is already done. At this point, fewer than a dozen devices are left to receive the update. This shows that Samsung is very close to finishing the One UI 8 rollout.

This week, Samsung released the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Tab A9 in South Korea. The software went live for both the Wi-Fi and LTE models. Meanwhile, the elder sibling, the Galaxy Tab A9+, still hasn’t received One UI 8 yet, even though the standard Tab A9 has now been updated.

November 2025 security patch released for these devices this week

While things were extremely slow for One UI 8 this week, Samsung was much quicker with the November 2025 security patch rollout. A handful of budget and midrange devices received the new patch, including:

Samsung resumed the One UI 8 rollout for the Galaxy A34 after temporarily pulling the update from Korea’s OTA server. The new build now arrives with the November 2025 security patch included. Own any of the devices? Head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Tap Install now after the download completes.

As the One UI 8 rollout approaches its final stage, Samsung now seems to be shifting its focus toward One UI 8.5, expected to debut with the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026. One UI 8.5 is shaping up to be a more noticeable upgrade. It brings improved blur effects across the UI and smoother animations. Additionally, it includes redesigned system apps with rounded corners. There is also a refreshed Quick Panel with better customization options, and so much more. You can check out all the expected features and enhancements here.
