Which Galaxy Devices Are Eligible for Android 16-Based One UI 8?

by | May 13, 2025 | One UI

Samsung still hasn’t fully rolled out the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for all eligible devices, but reports about One UI 8 are already picking up steam. What’s pretty much expected is that One UI 8 could arrive much sooner than One UI 7, which has turned out to be the most delayed update so far.

Chances are, you’re wondering which Galaxy devices are in line for the Android 16-based One UI 8 update. Samsung hasn’t released an official list yet, but these are the devices that are most likely to support One UI 8.

List of Galaxy devices that may be eligible for the Android 16-based One UI 8 update

Samsung provides at least two major Android updates for all Galaxy smartphones, including entry-level models. That means devices that launched with Android 14 are eligible for Android 16 and One UI 8. Some flagship phones, including tablets and foldables that launched with Android 11 or later, are set to receive four OS updates.

The Galaxy S24 series and newer models, like the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Tab S10 series, will get seven updates. Mid-range devices from the Galaxy A, M, and F series are promised four updates, with some models receiving up to six years of support. That includes devices like the Galaxy A16, A26, A36, and A56.
