Galaxy Buds Core May Bring ANC, 35-Hour Battery Under $99

Samsung is preparing to launch a new pair of affordable wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Core. These could be the cheapest buds from the company to date, undercutting the Buds FE, which debuted in 2023 with a price tag of $99. Set to go official on June 27, the Core model may still offer surprisingly solid features for its price.
Galaxy Buds Core will boast ANC, official listing reveals
First leaked a few months ago, the Galaxy Buds Core (model number SM-R410) recently made a brief appearance on Samsung UAE’s official website. The now-deleted listing spilled its key specs and design details ahead of the official announcement. The company has readied the pair in two colors: black and white. More importantly, they feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which is rare in this price bracket.
While the ANC might not match the effectiveness of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, its presence alone adds value. After all, we are looking at a pair of wireless earbuds that cost less than $99. This isn’t it, though. The Galaxy Buds Core has more surprises in store.
Samsung claims the pair can last up to 35 hours on a single charge with ANC turned off — the longest battery life ever for its buds. Even with ANC enabled, the Buds Core reportedly offer up to 20 hours of listening time. The company has fitted each bud with a 65mAh battery, while the charging case houses a 500mAh battery.
If the actual playtime is anywhere close to these figures, the Galaxy Buds Core could be ideal for users who prioritize longevity over premium audio performance. The upcoming model supports Bluetooth 5.4 and is compatible with AAC, SBC, and Samsung’s proprietary SSC codecs. While SBC is a basic codec, AAC and SSC allow for higher bitrate audio, ensuring respectable sound quality for the price.
The Galaxy Buds Core also comes with an IP54 rating, offering resistance to dust and light splashes — enough for workouts or light rain, though not fully waterproof. Each bud has a dimension of 19.2×17.1×22.2mm and weighs 5.3 grams. The case measures 50×50×27.7mm in dimensions and 31.2 grams in weight. Samsung has already confirmed that the new pair will go on sale in India on July 27.
