Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro and they are now available for preorders. However, there’s one small change you might notice right away when you open the box (and probably won’t like).

Galaxy Buds 4 series ditches charging cable from the box

Spotted by @antonioig002 on X, unlike the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro, both of which shipped with a USB-C cable in the box. The new Galaxy Buds 4 series no longer includes the charging cable. So what do you get? Well, you get the earbuds, the charging case, and the documentation, but no cable.

This isn’t completely new for Samsung, though. The company already removed the charging cable from the Galaxy Buds 3 FE and Galaxy Buds Core last year. So this move feels like a continuation of that decision rather than a sudden change.

“Galaxy Buds4 comes with the earbuds, the charging case, and a Quick Start Guide. Galaxy Buds4 Pro comes with the earbuds, ear tips (3 sets: S/M/L), the charging case, and a Quick Start Guide The USB-C cable is not included.” – Samsung’s official answer under Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) on Galaxy Buds 4 series page.

Most people probably already have a USB-C cable at home. Galaxy Buds 4 series also has Wireless Charging. Still, it’s worth knowing before you buy, especially if this is your first pair of Galaxy Buds. Personally, I already have a couple of USB-C charger cables at home, so I don’t mind the change.

Would you rather want to Samsung keep the charging cable in the box, or are you fine using the one you already have?
