Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro May Get a Bigger Battery Case

Samsung fans are eagerly waiting for the next generation of wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. A fresh report now suggests that both earbuds’ charging cases will feature a slightly bigger battery than their predecessor. This means the charging frequency of the case for users will decrease.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 case could offer longer battery life

According to a report from Galaxyclub, the rated battery capacity of the charging case for both the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will be 515 mAh. The typical capacity could be around 530 mAh. That’s a jump from the 515 mAh typical capacity found in the Galaxy Buds 3 series.

While this is just a small increase, it shows that Samsung aims to bring a meaningful upgrade to its upcoming earbuds. Hopefully, the company will also make the earbuds more efficient so users get more playback time.

A few weeks ago, the design for the Galaxy Buds 4 surfaced online through a sketch. The image suggests that the Buds 4 will retain the stem-style design of the Galaxy Buds 3 series, with some subtle refinements. The company may tweak the shape of the stems for an enhanced experience.

We also know the codenames and model numbers of the upcoming earbuds. According to a recent report, the company internally calls the Galaxy Buds 4 “Handel,” while the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro carry the codename “Bach.” The former carries the model number SM-R540, while the latter bears SM-R640.

As far as the launch is concerned, the Galaxy Buds 4 series may debut in early 2026, likely alongside the Galaxy S26 lineup.
