Galaxy Book Users Can Now Get Google’s Gemini Assistant in Chrome

Finally, Google has brought its powerful AI assistant, Gemini, to Chrome for Mac and Windows. So, if you are a Galaxy Book user, you can experience Gemini’s AI capabilities while browsing the web on Chrome. However, there is a catch — you need to be either an AI Pro or an AI Ultra subscriber in the US to access it. The good part is that the company promised to make it available in more countries in the future.
Google’s powerful AI assistant is now in your Chrome browser
With the introduction of Gemini in Chrome, Google now makes it easier for people to get AI assistance in their browser. You can ask Gemini about the content of a web page with prompts like “summarize this page” to get key points instantly. This is particularly helpful when you come across a web page with a complex topic and a lot of information. It is worth noting that Gemini in Chrome is a separate experience from the Gemini web app. With the web app, you won’t be able to share page content like you can with Gemini in Chrome.
Now the question is how to access the Gemini in Chrome? Well, it’s quite simple. You just need to open Chrome on your computer and tap the Gemini icon in the top right corner. Another way to access quickly is by using the keyboard shortcut Alt + G. To switch between your tab and the Gemini in Chrome window, use the Alt + Shift + G shortcut. Make sure you are using English as your Chrome language on Windows.
Once you access Gemini in Chrome, you will see a floating window where you can chat directly with AI. In its blog post, Google wrote, “This first version allows you to easily ask Gemini to clarify complex information on any webpage you’re reading or summarize information. In the future, Gemini will be able to work across multiple tabs and navigate websites on your behalf.”
