Even though Samsung’s Galaxy A phones come with AI features (starting with Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56), the gap has always been wide between those of A series and S series. But things are changing. It looks like the Galaxy A57 will get a helpful AI feature that was previously exclusive to the high-end Galaxy S and Z series.

Galaxy AI’s Transcript Assist comes to the Galaxy A57

In a recent hands-on and review video from Maruf Mirzayev on YouTube, one new feature stands out above the rest. The Transcript Assist can convert spoken audio from the Voice Recorder or calls into text directly on the phone, and it’s now officially come to the Galaxy A57.

For example, this feature works great for recording lectures or meetings, taking quick voice notes, capturing interviews or conversations, and later reviewing spoken information as text. Instead of manually typing notes or replaying recordings, users can simply record a conversation or voice memo. Then, the phone can automatically generate a transcript and even summarize the recording. This is something that can be useful for everyone regardless of what they do.

Beyond the Transcript Assist feature, the video also highlights other improvements typical of the Galaxy A series. These include a refreshed design, slimmer bezels, a thinner body, better cooling, and performance. Reportedly, the Galaxy A57 also comes with a bigger vapor chamber compared to its predecessors. Ideally, that should be one of the biggest upgrades it’s getting.

We don’t know yet when the Galaxy A57 will officially be available in the US, but it has already launched in select markets. In Thailand, someone unboxed the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 this weekend, revealing the phones in the flesh. It now comes at a higher price, which was expected. There’s also a 512GB variant this time. But again, it remains to be seen whether the top storage option will make it to the US. Stay tuned!
