Galaxy A57, Galaxy A37 Battery and Charging Specs Confirmed

Samsung’s Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 are inching closer to their official launch. Rumors suggest the new mid-range phones will debut about a month earlier than their predecessors. While we do not have a date yet, the company has definitely ramped up preparations for the launch. A regulatory certification recently confirmed the battery capacity and charging speeds for both models, while the Galaxy A57 also surfaced in a benchmark listing.
TUV certification reveals battery and charging details for Galaxy A57 and A37
Both upcoming Galaxy A phones have recently surfaced in TUV Rheinland certification documents, confirming their power-related specs. The Galaxy A37 will pack a 4,905mAh rated battery, which Samsung will almost certainly market as 5,000mAh typical capacity at launch. While the battery capacity for the Galaxy A57 is missing, it should feature a 5,000mAh unit as well. The Galaxy A36 and A56 also have 5,000mAh batteries.
On the charging front, the TUV documents confirm 45W wired fast charging for both models. That’s unchanged from the previous generation, which also topped out at 45W. Interestingly, 45W is the fastest any Galaxy device charges today, including Ultra flagships, foldables, and tablets. The upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to step up to 60W wired charging, but don’t expect the same upgrade for mid-range models just yet.
Galaxy A57 offers up to 12GB of RAM
Besides the TUV certification, the Galaxy A57 appeared on Geekbench with 12GB of RAM. The listing confirmed the clock speeds for its Exynos 1680 processor, an octa-core chip running at up to 2.91GHz. The chipset integrates Samsung’s AMD-powered Xclipse 550 CPU and achieved an OpenCL graphics score of 6,639 on Geekbench v6.5.
These sightings indicate an imminent launch of the Galaxy A57 and A37. While Samsung traditionally launches its Galaxy A3x and A5x models in late March or early April, reports suggest that the company may be moving things forward in 2026. The new models could go official in mid-February. Expect more leaks and rumors in the build-up to the rumored launch next month.
