As Samsung pushed One UI 7 to more flagship models, the company is preparing the update for midrange devices as well. It has just released the third beta build for the Galaxy A55, the only midrange model eligible for beta updates. The latest release addresses a bunch of known bugs, hinting at a nearing stable rollout.
Galaxy A55 gets new One UI 7 beta update with bug fixes
One UI 7 Beta 3 is currently available to Galaxy A55 units enrolled in the beta program in India. The latest build carries the firmware version ZYD7 and weighs in at around 335MB. It focuses on bug fixes and system stability, with the official changelog confirming the following fixes.
- The lightning icon in the battery symbol
- A bug in SIM settings related to the SIM icon
- A bug in the Dual Recording camera feature
- Improved compatibility with hearing aids — fixing an issue where devices would disconnect during calls while playing music
- Other minor bug fixes
Notably, the Galaxy A55 also becomes the first smartphone to receive the May 2025 Android security patch. Yes, Samsung is already pushing next month’s security fixes, starting with this beta release.
Samsung doesn’t specify if this is the final beta update for the Galaxy A55 or if it will push more beta builds before the stable release. Meanwhile, it is rapidly expanding the stable version to more devices and more regions. One UI 7 is now available for the Galaxy S24 series, S24 FE, S23 series, Fold 6, Flip 6, Fold SE, Fold 5, Flip 5, Tab S10 series, and Tab S9 series.
