Samsung has rolled out the second beta update of its Android 15-based One UI 7 to the Galaxy A55. The update is now live in India and follows the original beta release last week. The new build carries the firmware version A556EXXU7ZYD3 and weighs in at 336.14MB. It introduces a bunch of bug fixes and stability improvements.

This update brings several important bug fixes, general performance improvements, and the April 2025 security patch to the Galaxy A55. According to the official release notes supplied by Samsung, it resolved a poor visibility issue when checking Google Sports via Now Bar. The company also fixed an issue where emoticons couldn’t be attached to MMS messages under specific conditions.
Additionally, Samsung corrected the top notification icon to display the SIM icon properly when receiving an eSIM push notification. One UI 7 Beta 2 for the Galaxy A55 also contains other system improvements for better stability and performance. This update is available to users enrolled in the One UI 7 beta program in India.
While Samsung expands beta testing, the broader One UI 7 rollout has faced a brief interruption. After launching the stable version for flagship devices like the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Flip 6 last week, the company temporarily paused the update due to bugs affecting some users. Samsung has since confirmed that it has addressed the issues and plans to resume the rollout shortly.
Hopefully, the Korean firm will get back on track to continue its Android 15 update push across a wide range of Galaxy devices in the coming weeks. The Galaxy A55 could get the update sometime in May, though some other models may have to wait until June or July.
