Galaxy A54, Flip 3 & Fold 3 Receive June 2025 Security Update

Samsung has released a fresh software update for three Galaxy smartphones: the Galaxy A54, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy Z Fold 3. The update brings the June 2025 security patch with no other changes. It is currently rolling out to users in South Korea, with a wider rollout expected in the coming days.

June 2025 security update reaches more Galaxy devices

The June SMR (Security Maintenance Release) delivers essential fixes that enhance device security and stability of Galaxy devices. According to Samsung, the update addresses nearly 60 vulnerabilities across various Android OS and One UI components. These fixes target system services such as Screen Capture, the fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth, Theme Manager, and Samsung Cloud.

Samsung has already rolled out these security fixes to a bunch of Galaxy smartphones and tablets worldwide. The Galaxy A54, Fold 3, and Flip 3 are the latest to grab the June 2025 update. The new SMR for these devices is currently available in South Korea with the firmware build numbers A546SKSSADYF1, F926NKSS9KYF1, and F711NKSS9KYF1, respectively.

Since the update doesn’t contain anything else, the installation package size is relatively small at around 300MB. Samsung will soon release the new security patch for these devices in other markets, including the US. To manually check for the update, users can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If the update is available, the phone will prompt you to begin installation.

While the Galaxy A54 is set to receive One UI 8 later this year, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 aren’t eligible for the upcoming major update. Samsung is currently testing One UI 8 through its beta program on newer models like the Galaxy S25 series. The stable version will debut with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 next month, though older models may not get it until August or September.
