Galaxy A54, A13 and Tab A9 receive December 2025 Security Update

Midway through December, Samsung has already rolled out this month’s security patch to more than 40 Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The company has now released the December 2025 security update to a new set of Galaxy devices. The Galaxy A54, Galaxy A13, and Tab A9 are receiving the latest protections and stability improvements before the year ends.
More Galaxy devices pick up Samsung’s December 2025 security update
As usual, this month’s security patch includes fixes for dozens of security vulnerabilities identified by both Google and Samsung, addressing issues that range from critical to high severity across the Android platform and One UI. More specifically, Samsung is rolling out 68 security fixes with the December 2025 update for Galaxy devices.
These patches are now available for the Galaxy A54, Galaxy A13, and Tab A9 in Korea. The new firmware build numbers for these devices are A546SKSSDEYL2, A136SKSSCEYL2, and X110XXS7DYL2, respectively. A global rollout should begin in the coming days. Users can check for updates from Settings. Go to the Software update menu and select Download and install. If available, the December patch will appear, and you can install it.
While the Galaxy A13 is done getting feature updates, the Galaxy A54 and Tab A9 are still eligible for new features. They should receive One UI 8.5 sometime next year. Samsung is currently running beta tests of the new version, which is based on Android 16. It will debut with the Galaxy S26 series before rolling out to existing devices.
As far as new features are concerned, One UI 8.5 brings meaningful improvements to your Galaxy experience. The update builds on Samsung’s new layered design language with floating elements, softer animations, and richer colors across system apps, giving the interface more depth and cohesion. Combined with performance optimizations and subtle usability tweaks, One UI 8.5 aims to make Galaxy devices feel smoother and more intuitive in daily use.
