The Galaxy S26 series is still in the pre-order stage, but Samsung is already gearing up for the next launch. The company has the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 in the pipeline, with leaks pointing to a mid-March unveiling. Meanwhile, fresh listings from Europe suggest that both devices will deliver noticeably longer battery life and improved durability compared to their predecessors.

EU energy labels reveal major battery gains for the Galaxy A57 and A37

Folks over at NieuweMobiel.nl recently shared EU ENERGY labels for the Galaxy A37 (SM-A376B/DS) and Galaxy A57 (SM-A576B/DS). The former has received an A rating for battery life, with a rated runtime of 53 hours on a single charge. Its battery is certified for 1,200 charge cycles before performance significantly degrades. The phone also earned a B rating for drop resistance and a C rating for repairability.

The Galaxy A57 fared similarly. It achieved an A rating for battery life, with endurance rated at up to 52 hours per charge and the battery certified for 1,200 charge cycles. Additionally, the device scored an A rating for drop resistance and a C rating for repairability. The leaked labels also confirm an IP68 dust and water resistance rating for both models.

This marks an improvement over Samsung’s 2025 mid-range lineup. The Galaxy A36 carried a Class C energy rating and offered up to 41 hours of battery life, while the Galaxy A56 received a Class B rating and delivered up to 44 hours. They also carried lower IP ratings (IP67) than their upcoming successors.

That said, the EU rated the 2025 models for 2,000 charge cycles, so the Galaxy A37 and A57 see a substantial drop to just 1,200 cycles. Industry experts suggest this is because of a change in EU regulations, affecting testing methodology and estimations, rather than a serious battery longevity issue. We will let you know if we have more information on this.
