Galaxy A17 5G in India Comes With Charger in Box, Prices Confirmed Early

Samsung has already launched the Galaxy A17 in two countries so far, including Ireland and Taiwan. The company is planning an India launch, which is likely to happen on August 29 if everything goes as scheduled. As the launch approaches, we have now learned that the Galaxy A17 5G will indeed include a charger in the box in India, along with its retail prices.

Based on which, we can confirm that the Galaxy A17 5G will be available in three variants: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. Prices start at INR 18,999 for the base 6GB/128GB variant. Meanwhile, the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB models are priced at INR 20,499 and INR 23,499, respectively.

A previous tip from Abhishek Yadav suggested the same pricing. We can now confirm that these are indeed the Indian retail prices. You can also expect some bank offers once it launches. Additionally, we have learned that the Galaxy A17 5G includes a charging adapter in the box, which will most likely be a 25W Type-C charger. This corroborates previous reports suggesting the same.

There is not much else new about the phone since it has already been released in a few markets. Samsung has also opened registrations for the Galaxy A17 5G in India. While it doesn’t explicitly mention the model, metadata clues refer to it as the Galaxy A1x.

The phone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of brightness. Most changes are external, with a much more refined camera module. Regarding cameras, the setup remains largely the same. It includes a 50MP wide, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro on the back, and 13MP on the front. However, the wide lens on the rear now supports OIS.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A17 5G is powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset. It launches with Android 15-based One UI 7 and is eligible for six major software upgrades. These upgrades extend through One UI 13 / Android 21. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
