This Is What the Upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 Could Look Like

It’s been over a year since Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Buds 3 twins. That alone suggests that a successor might be on the cards. Although Samsung has launched a couple of affordable earbuds in the meantime, a flagship upgrade is long overdue. A recent One UI 8.5 firmware leak revealed hints about the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro, and now we have our first look (sort of).
Here’s what design changes Samsung may be planning for the Galaxy Buds 4
Android Authority spotted more clues while digging through the One UI 8.5 build and found a file that gives us a glimpse of what the Galaxy Buds 4 could look like. The image reveals that the Buds 4 will retain their stem-style design. However, Samsung seems to be tweaking the shape slightly, making it less triangular and possibly more rounded or flat. Take a look:

Even though this is the first graphical leak of the Galaxy Buds 4 so far, it does give us an idea of what Samsung may be planning. An image of the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro is still missing, but hopefully, it will appear in future builds. And we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.
Since the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro launched in July 2024, there had been expectations of an annual refresh alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 launch. However, about a week before the July Unpacked event, a report suggested that the refresh would take place in early 2026.
If the early 2026 timeline holds, the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro could debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series. Not much is known about the features or enhancements yet, but we do know that Samsung has already started testing firmware for the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.
