Samsung’s One UI 7 beta is now available for millions of Galaxy S24 users. The company could soon open up the beta for millions more Galaxy users worldwide, with several other devices expected to get the update later this month. If you plan to join the beta program, don’t forget to update apps after installing it. Several Samsung apps have received new updates alongside One UI 7.

One UI 7 beta is accompanied by new updates for several Samsung apps

In the days leading up to the One UI 7 beta release, leaked versions of Samsung’s Calendar, Clock, Voice Recorder, Reminder, Internet, Notes, and many other apps surfaced online. These apps were supposed to go live with the beta update. Now that the beta is available, the official updates have been rolled out too. We received updates for a bunch of apps after installing One UI 7 beta.

The updated Calendar app adds the ability to move an event to another date by dragging. You can also now move all events to other calendars at once. Reminder adds a host of new features too, including auto-deletion of completed reminders. You can configure the setting to automatically delete completed reminders after a month, six months, or a year. Clock received a notable update as well.

Of course, as revealed in leaks before, One UI 7 introduces new icons for these apps. Samsung now uses more vibrant colors that pop on the screen, allowing for enhanced visuals. Some icons see subtle changes while others have been completely redesigned.

After the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung is expected to roll out One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S23 and several other devices. The beta program, initially announced for India, Germany, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the US, may also expand to China. The stable update will arrive next year following the Galaxy S25 launch sometime in late January or early February.
