Samsung continues to refine its One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy S25 series. The company has today pushed the eighth beta update for the 2025 flagships, bringing a host of bug fixes. The update is live in several regions, including India, the UK, South Korea, and Germany. It should roll out to other regions, including the United States, soon.

One UI 8.5 Beta 8 brings key fixes ahead of the stable release

The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are picking up the One UI 8.5 Beta 8 build with version ZZCD. The update comes with an OTA size of around 1GB, though this depends on model and region. It also packs the March 2026 security patch, improving device protection from the latest threats.

While this update does not bring new features, it focuses on fixing issues and previously discovered bugs. Samsung appears to be polishing the software experience before its official rollout. For example, the update improves flickering issues when updating real-time notification cards. It also fixes a bug that caused the clock shortcut to disappear when the screen turned off while using Now Brief.

Furthermore, Samsung has fixed an issue in which certain folders could not be copied when connected to shared storage on Galaxy Book 4 devices. The update also fixes a camera issue that caused the quick view thumbnail to break when the latest video was stored in the cloud.

Hopefully, Samsung has reached platform stability with this beta release. If that is the case, we can expect the stable version rollout for the Galaxy S25 series sometime next month. Meanwhile, the company is gearing up to expand testing of One UI 8.5 to more Galaxy devices. This reportedly includes the Galaxy S25 FE, S24 FE, S24 trio, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. We’ll let you know once the rollout begins in the coming weeks.
