Less than two months after the stable One UI 7 release, Samsung is here with One UI 8 beta. Samsung is also expected to launch One UI 8 beta for additional devices in the coming weeks.
Samsung kicks off One UI 8 beta testing for the Galaxy S25 series
While Samsung’s One UI 7 update faced lengthy delays, the company is back on track with the new version. In fact, One UI 8 is arriving earlier than expected. Beta testing is already underway, with the stable version expected in July. Samsung may ship the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 with One UI 8 out of the box.
As of this writing, Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra users in the aforementioned four markets can enroll in the new beta program. Interestingly, a recent official notice from Samsung about One UI 8 beta changes dropped simultaneously on the Galaxy S25 and S24 devices across several markets. This should mean an imminent expansion of the beta program to more devices and regions.
Alongside Germany, Korea, the UK, and the US, Samsung may launch beta programs in India, China, and Poland. Or maybe One UI betas will finally go global this year, we shall find out soon. Galaxy users have been calling on the company to release beta updates more widely for so long. Could it happen with One UI 8? We’ll have to wait and see.
As far as the supported devices are concerned, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 should be the next in the pipeline. We will let you know when we have official confirmation. Keep an eye on the Samsung Members app — this is where you can enroll your Galaxy device for One UI 8 beta. You’ll see a banner with additional information on how to participate and provide feedback.
