Breaking! One UI 7 Stable Update Released for Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung is gradually expanding One UI 7 to more Galaxy devices. After updating the 2024 flagship lineup, the company released the big Android 15 update for the Galaxy S23 series. It plans to update a few more devices to One UI 7 before the end of April.

One UI 7 rolls out to the Galaxy S23 series

As of this writing, Samsung has released One UI 7 for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra in its home country of South Korea, with beta users getting it first. The update comes with the firmware build version DYD9 and bundles the April 2025 security patch. But more importantly, it brings tons of new AI features, camera upgrades, and other functional enhancements.

Samsung will soon roll out One UI 7 for the Galaxy S23 trio in other markets, covering non-beta users as well. The Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition have already received this update widely. The Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 series should be the next in the pipeline. Samsung will then push the update to other eligible devices starting in May, with the rollout completing sometime in July.

Galaxy users can always check for updates from the Settings app on their smartphone or tablet. Go to the Software update menu and tap Download and install to see if an update is available. You’ll need to restart the phone to install the OTA package. If you don’t see any updates today, wait a few days and check again following the same steps.

One UI 7 is Samsung’s Android 15 update for the Galaxy family. Alongside a massive UI overhaul, this update brings advanced AI features, with the company integrating Google Gemini into several apps for intuitive AI experiences that enhance your daily smartphone experience. Some AI tools are exclusive to newer models, but the Galaxy S23 series gets plenty of goodies with One UI 7.
