Samsung is on a roll today. After the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Tab S10 series, the company has released the stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 FE. As usual, the rollout begins in South Korea, Samsung’s home country, but it is just a matter of time before the update goes global.
Galaxy S24 FE joins Samsung’s One UI 7 update party
Samsung’s One UI 7 rollout had a rocky start. The company pulled the update less than a week after its release due to bugs. However, it has now resumed the rollout and expanded coverage to more models. After updating the Galaxy S24, Fold 6, Flip 6, and Fold SE in the first wave, the second wave is rolling out, with the Galaxy S23, Tab S10, and Galaxy S24 FE getting the big Android 15 update.
The Fan Edition model is picking up One UI 7 with the firmware build number BYD9 in South Korea. The OTA package for this phone weighs around 5.2GB, similar to other models. The massive size of the update tells you a lot about what it brings to the table. From a UI overhaul and smoother system animations to new AI tools, AI-driven functions across apps, and other enhancements, One UI 7 has a lot on offer.
If you are using the Galaxy S24 FE, watch out for this update in the coming days. Samsung should soon release One UI 7 for this phone in other markets, including the US. You can check for updates by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Alongside the One UI 7 goodies, this update for the Galaxy S24 FE also contains the April 2025 security patch, which addresses over 60 vulnerabilities. These include some critical Android OS patches from Google and other partner vendors. We will let you know when a global rollout begins.
