For those eagerly awaiting the One UI 7 update in the US, it might feel a bit like Christmas came early. Samsung today began rolling out the One UI 7 update to the Galaxy S24 series in the US, but only for users enrolled in the beta program. Not long after, we also heard that the update was making its way to beta users of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Now, the One UI 7 update is finally reaching non-beta users of the Galaxy S24 series.
Non-beta Galaxy S24 users are now receiving the One UI 7 update
Hot on the heels of the beta release, non-beta users of the Galaxy S24 series have now started receiving the One UI 7 update. If you own a Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, or Galaxy S24 Ultra, now’s a good time to head over to your settings and check if the update is available for your device.
For beta users, the update is relatively lightweight. But if you’re upgrading directly from One UI 6.1.1, be prepared for a hefty download. It’s around 5GB. That’s to be expected, considering how feature-packed the One UI 7 update is. On top of all the new features, it also includes the latest April 2025 security patch.
According to a tip we received, Samsung may have started rolling out One UI 7 to non-beta Galaxy S24 users around noon EST. To check for the update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If it’s not showing up yet, keep trying. Or try the old trick of restarting your phone, which still works for some of us.
Samsung plans to roll out the stable One UI 7 update through June. By then, we expect every eligible Galaxy phone to be running the new update. We’ll keep you posted as Samsung expands the One UI 7 rollout to more Galaxy phones and tablets. We’re actively tracking updates across all regions, so stay tuned.
Thanks for the tip, @catloverplayer!
