Samsung has now resumed the One UI 7 stable rollout, starting with South Korea. This means even those who installed the update earlier are now receiving a hotfix update, a revised version that fixes important bugs which may have halted the update. The Galaxy S24 series in South Korea has already started receiving the One UI 7 hotfix update, and now it’s time for the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition receives One UI 7 hotfix update

The One UI 7 hotfix update for the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (SM-F958N) comes just in time. It’s about 379MB in size and carries build version F958NKSU2BYD9, along with the April 2025 security patch. This update is essential, fixing the bugs that caused the temporary halt of the One UI 7 rollout.

It seems that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in South Korea have also begun receiving the update. Since the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition was released only in South Korea and China (under a different name), the update is reaching the former region first. However, a broader rollout — including the US — is very likely to follow soon.

This means that even if you’ve already updated to the stable One UI 7 on your Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, or Galaxy Z Fold 6, you might still receive a small update. Reportedly, Samsung found a “serious” bug and halted the One UI 7 rollout worldwide.

But now, it seems Samsung is back on track. Although a few more hurdles could have delayed the update even further, it looks like the company plans to continue the rollout for all eligible devices until July. In case you’re wondering which devices are eligible for One UI 7, you must check this list.
