It’s been a week of One UI 7 updates, and they keep rolling out. After pushing the update to a bunch of new devices in Korea, Samsung has begun a global rollout of One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Other models should join the party soon.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6’s stable One UI 7 update goes global
Yesterday, Samsung rolled out One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S10, and Galaxy Tab S9 in Korea. This followed an earlier release for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The latter group of devices has also received the update in the US, Canada, and Europe.
Samsung recently started pushing the “hotfix” release to these models to address bugs that sneaked in with the original release. It simultaneously expanded the rollout to additional markets. The Galaxy S24 series is receiving One UI 7 widely across Asia and Africa. Now, it is the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6’s turn to grab the big Android 15 update globally.
We can confirm its availability for beta users in India, with non-beta users likely to receive it soon. Samsung is also expected to roll out One UI 7 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 in other regions in the coming days. The update comes with the firmware build version BYD9, the same as the Galaxy S24 series. Alongside the One UI 7 goodies, it packs the April 2025 security patch.
Samsung will gradually push this update to more eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The company has several dozen models lined up to receive One UI 7. Depending on your model and region, you may have to wait a few weeks or months to get it. Stay tuned for more information.
