This year is shaping up to be a promising one, kicking off with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series as the first major global launch. Now that the phones have been on the market for a while, we’ve had plenty of time to put them through their paces. While we definitely give them our “recommended buy” tag, what if you’re after something different?
There’s no denying that the Galaxy S25 series is a solid choice, but some users might be looking for a different form factor, while others have their eyes on budget-friendly options. Luckily, there’s something for everyone. Here are our picks for the best Samsung Galaxy phones you can buy right now.
Galaxy S25 Ultra
Starting off, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the best Samsung Galaxy phone you can buy right now. It packs the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with storage options that max out at 1TB with 12GB RAM. The camera setup is equally impressive, with a quad-camera system on the rear: a 200MP wide lens, a 10MP telephoto lens, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. On the front, there’s a 12MP camera.
You also get a variety of color options, including Titanium Silver Blue, Titanium Black, Titanium White Silver, Titanium Gray, Titanium Jade Green, Titanium Jet Black, and Titanium Pink Gold. Perhaps the cherry on top is that you can score double the storage — a free upgrade that won’t be around forever. If you’ve got your eye on a specific color, you might want to act fast before it flies off the shelves.
Galaxy S25+
If you’re looking for a Galaxy phone that strikes a balance between the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the base variant, the Galaxy S25+ is probably your best bet. It’s for those who want a bigger display but are willing to compromise slightly on the camera setup. Of course, there are differences compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but that doesn’t mean the S25+ is any less capable. If the Ultra isn’t your cup of tea, the Galaxy S25+ is definitely worth considering.
You’re getting a 6.7-inch display with the same peak brightness as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The battery capacity is slightly smaller than the Ultra’s, but it still supports the same fast charging speeds at 45W. That’s something noticeably absent from the standard Galaxy S25.
Galaxy S25
The Galaxy S25 stands out in the lineup as a compact and handy option. It features a 6.2-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Just like the rest of the lineup, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, paired with 128GB/12GB or 256GB/12GB storage options. On the rear, you get a triple-camera setup: a 50MP wide lens, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Up front, there’s a 12MP shooter for selfies. All models in the series support 15W Qi2-ready wireless charging.
The Galaxy S25 (and S25+) come in Icy Blue, Mint, Navy, Silver Shadow, Pink Gold, Coral Red, and Blue Black. So, if you’re after a compact phone that still packs the best processor on the market, the Galaxy S25 is an easy pick. Again, you can get the free storage upgrade on Galaxy S25 as well.
Galaxy Z Fold 6
A few years ago, you had only one form factor to choose from. Thankfully, that’s no longer the case. If you’re after something more futuristic, the book-style Galaxy Z Fold 6 is a solid pick. Once unfolded, it reveals a massive 7.6-inch LTPO AMOLED 2X display with an impressive 2600-nit peak brightness. The 6.3-inch cover display is just as sharp and responsive.
Under the hood, you’ll find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or even 1TB storage options. As for cameras, you get a triple-lens setup on the rear: a 50MP wide, 10MP telephoto, and 12MP ultrawide. On the front, there’s a 4MP under-display camera, plus a 10MP wide lens on the cover screen. It gets better when you realise Samsung is offering free storage upgrade on Galaxy Z Fold 6 right now. It’s still one of the best foldables money can buy, because obviously nothing beats the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. Just kidding, no I am not.
Galaxy Z Flip 6
Maybe you want to try a foldable but don’t feel like spending big? That’s where the Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes in. It’s got that clamshell-style flip design, and yeah, it looks pretty damn good. You’re getting a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with the same 2,600-nit peak brightness, plus a 3.4-inch cover display for quick stuff like notifications and widgets.
Under the hood, there’s a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, paired with 256GB/12GB, and 512GB/12GB storage options. Camera-wise, you’ve got a 50MP wide and a 12MP ultrawide on the back, plus a 10MP wide lens up front for selfies. Plenty of color choices, too: Yellow, Silver Shadow, Mint, Blue, Black, White, and Peach. If you want a foldable that’s stylish, powerful, and doesn’t completely wreck your wallet, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is an easy pick. You can avail free storage on Galaxy Z Flip 6 as well.
Upcoming Galaxy A series mid-rangers
If price is a big deal when picking a phone, the upcoming A-series should be on your radar. These are dropping as soon as March 2, and we’ll update once the full official details are out. For now, here’s what’s already out there; either confirmed or rumored.
Samsung’s A-series lineup includes the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26. And surprisingly, all three come with a triple-camera setup. The Galaxy A56 stands out as the premium pick among budget phones. Rumor has it, it might even be the first A-series phone to support Galaxy AI features and get six years of OS updates. As for performance, the A56, A36, and A26 could pack the Exynos 1580, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, and Exynos 1380 chipsets, respectively. We’ll know more once these phones officially launch. But if you’re looking for the best Samsung Galaxy phones for your buck, these are definitely worth considering.
