Samsung has been rolling out the August 2025 security patch to a number of devices. The rollout now extends to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, which are receiving the August 2025 security update. This comes shortly after Samsung began pushing the update to its newest foldables globally.

Samsung blesses Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 with August 2025 security update

As shared by @ya_sking12767, the August 2025 security update is now live for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. However, the update is currently limited to South Korea, which means a broader rollout should follow in the coming days. The build numbers, as reported by the tipster, are as follows, with the update weighing around 384MB:

  • Galaxy Z Fold 4: F936NKSS6HYGB
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4: F721NKSS6HYGB

If you’re in Korea and own either of these devices, the update should be available to download. You can check manually by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. It’s always recommended to keep your device updated with the latest security patch. While these updates generally don’t bring new features, they do play a crucial role in keeping your device secure against vulnerabilities.

Speaking of which, the August 2025 security patch fixes more than 47 vulnerabilities. 18 of which are Galaxy-specific, with the rest affecting Android more broadly.

On top of that, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are eligible for four major OS upgrades, which means they will eventually receive Android 16 with One UI 8. That update may take some time to fully roll out, after which both devices will continue to get one additional year of security updates.
