Samsung Rolls Out Bixby 4.0 Update for Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung has released a new update for its voice assistant, Bixby, with version 4.0. The update brings a host of new features to improve the user experience, including more natural conversations and better command understanding. It is currently available for the latest Galaxy S26 series, though select older models should receive it in the coming months.

Bixby now becomes smarter with the latest update

Bixby 4.0 brings Natural Chat so you can talk more freely with the assistant. This makes the conversation experience more natural and engaging. Thanks to Context Awareness, Bixby can now remember what you said earlier in a conversation. This should let you ask follow-up questions, eliminating the need to repeat.

The update also brings Info on Demand that lets you get answers to different topics. Whether it is general knowledge or local information, Bixby can fulfill requests without needing exact keywords. This makes searching for information more convenient. Likewise, Device Help lets you ask how-to questions about your device and get instant suggestions.

Furthermore, Bixby offers Multi-Step Actions so you can complete complex tasks with a single command. For example, you can get directions to events on your calendar. This feature should save time while making day-to-day tasks more efficient. Last but not least, the update brings Conversation History that lets you review and continue recent conversations anytime.

Meanwhile, the Voice Wake-up feature, part of Bixby, has also picked up an update. The latest version improves stability and overall performance. As such, you may notice fast responses when using the “Hi Bixby” command. To update both apps, head over to the Galaxy Store, then go to Menu (three horizontal lines) > Updates.
