Samsung Begins Galaxy Book 6 Sales, Joins Pro and Ultra

Samsung has officially launched the base variant of its Galaxy Book 6, with sales now live in South Korea. The laptop joins the previously released Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Book 6 Ultra, which are already on sale in several global markets, including the US. The new model gives buyers an affordable option.

The Galaxy Book 6 comes in two sizes: 14-inch and 16-inch. Both models are slim and lightweight, with a thickness of 14.9mm and a weight of 1.43kg or 1.74kg. It features a clean, balanced design with a center-aligned touchpad, a two-tone keyboard, and a logo centered on the cover. You can pick from two colors: gray and silver.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Book 6 uses the latest Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 3. Thanks to a high-performance NPU that offers up to 49 TOPS to improve AI computation speed compared to the previous model. As such, you get a seamless experience for AI tasks like image editing and real-time translation.

Samsung says the Galaxy Book 6 supports up to 24 hours of video playback on a single charge. The laptop lets you connect multiple peripherals without a separate adapter. It supports a bunch of ports such as two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI, a Micro SD card slot, and a wired LAN port.

As for pricing, the Galaxy Book 6 starts at 1.6 million won and goes up to 2.51 million won. This depends on the specific specification, such as CPU, graphics card, and memory. It is available in South Korea through various channels, including Samsung’s official online and offline stores.
