Samsung Rolls Out March 2026 Security Update for Galaxy A56

Last week, Samsung pushed its March 2026 security update for a bunch of Galaxy A devices, including the A54 and A55. Now, the company has started rolling out the update for the Galaxy A56, bringing a host of security improvements. The update is currently live in India, but it should roll out to all regions soon.
The March 2026 update now hits the Galaxy A56
The Galaxy A56 is picking up the March 2026 security update with firmware version BZC6. The update arrives as an over-the-air (OTA) package of around 380 MB. This month’s security bulletin includes around 60 fixes for Android and 7 patches for One UI. These fixes improve system security while closing possible vulnerabilities.
So, you should install this fresh patch as soon as it lands on your Galaxy A56. To do so, navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The system will automatically check for the update and begin downloading it. Once complete, you will need to restart your device for the patch to apply correctly.
Unsurprisingly, apart from security improvements, the update does not bring any new features for the Galaxy A56. The good news is that a feature-rich software update is on the way, though the rollout timeline is still unclear. We are talking about the Android 16-based One UI 8.5, which is already available in beta form on several older devices. Hopefully, Samsung will give early access to A56 users sometime next month.
Note that the stable One UI 8.5 already ships with the latest Galaxy S26 series, as well as the Galaxy A57 and A37. While the former is already available for purchase, the next-gen Galaxy A series will hit stores in the US on April 9. The Galaxy A57 comes with several meaningful upgrades, including a thinner and lighter design. You can check out the comparison with its predecessor here.
