Galaxy Watch 4 Picks Up February 2026 Security Update

February 2026 security update rollout has almost finished for the eligible devices, yet some are still picking up the software updates. More recently, the Galaxy Watch 4 started receiving the February 2026 security update, and users can download and install the update right away, which brings improved stability and reliability.

Samsung blesses Galaxy Watch 4 with February 2026 security update

Samsung is now rolling out the latest security update (February 2026) to the Galaxy Watch 4 in home turf i.e. Korea. The build version in question is R870XXU2JZC2, and it updates the smartwatch to the February 2026 security update. There won’t be any new features, but improved stability and security, according to the official changelog (via SamMobile).

The February 2026 security update includes patches for more than 37 vulnerabilities discovered in Android. It fixes 25 high-severity Android vulnerabilities and 12 Samsung-specific SVEs. Google’s fixes target the core Android system, while Samsung’s apply only to Galaxy firmware. As always, you should keep your device updated with the latest security patch.

If you have a Galaxy Watch 4 and live in Korea, you can move ahead and install the update. To install the update, open the Galaxy Wearable app, go to Watch settings, then select Watch software update and tap Download and install. After the installation finishes, your watch will restart and run the latest security patch.
