Galaxy Z Flip 8 Charging Speed Revealed, and You Might Not Like It

Much like 2025, Samsung will pull the wraps off three foldables this year. In any case, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Z Wide Fold (tentative) are still months away from their debut. However, some key information about these foldables has already been revealed. Today, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 was spotted on China’s 3C certification, revealing its charging speed.
Galaxy Z Flip 8 charging speed isn’t bad, but not great either
Folks over at 91Mobiles spotted the Galaxy Z Flip 8 (SM-F7760) on China’s 3C certification platform. Going by the model number, it could very well be the China variant, which is not surprising. Everything sounds fine so far, but what you probably will not like is the charging speed. According to the listing, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 may support up to 25W wired charging.

The charging speed for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is a letdown for those who were hoping for an upgrade. To remind you, Samsung has not updated wired charging speeds for the Galaxy Z Flip lineup in quite some time. Then again, the base Galaxy S26 also comes with 25W charging, even though the Galaxy S26 Ultra supports 60W wired charging, while the Galaxy S26+ offers 45W wired charging.
That said, 25W wired charging is not inherently bad, but it is not particularly impressive either. It gets the job done. Moreover, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 may also retain the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s 4,300mAh battery. Under the hood, we could see either the Exynos 2600 or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. There is no information yet on whether there will be a chip split, like in the Galaxy S26 series, or if it will be exclusively Exynos.
You can expect a lot more information about the upcoming foldables in the coming weeks. If you plan to pick up one of these foldables and live in the US, you will also get a range of free rewards from us. We have opened sign-ups so we can remind you ahead of launch.
