Every now and then, Samsung adds new artwork to the Art Store. Now it’s back with another classic, this time through a partnership with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). The collaboration brings dozens of modern art masterpieces to Samsung TVs for the first time.

Samsung collaborates with SFMOMA to bring 34 paintings to the Art Store

The launch introduces 34 artworks from SFMOMA’s collection to the Samsung Art Store. You can now display works from influential artists such as Diego Rivera, Henri Matisse, Jackson Pollock, Piet Mondrian, and Wayne Thiebaud directly on supported Samsung TVs. Art lovers will likely appreciate the gesture.

Some of the pieces in the collection include Rivera’s The Flower Carrier (1935), Matisse’s Femme au chapeau (1905), Thiebaud’s Display Cakes (1963), Pollock’s Guardians of the Secret (1943), and Mondrian’s New York City 2 (1941). Samsung says the collaboration also brings works by Wayne Thiebaud and Robert Rauschenberg to the Art Store for the first time.

The Art Store works across several Samsung TVs, including The Frame Pro, The Frame, Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, and other supported QLED models. These displays feature matte screens and anti-reflection coatings designed to make digital artwork look more like framed pieces on a wall.

In a statement, Samsung’s Kyle Menges, Director of Business Development, said:

“We at Samsung are proud to feature SFMOMA – the first West Coast museum dedicated to 20th-century art – as the first West Coast museum on the Samsung Art Store. This partnership reaffirms the Art Store as the definitive home for 20th-century masterpieces, bringing iconic collections into living rooms worldwide.”

Meanwhile, SFMOMA’s Christopher Bedford, said:

“This partnership with Samsung Art Store opens an exciting new chapter in how we fulfill our mission to connect people with modern and contemporary art. By making our collection available through innovative technology, we’re reaching audiences who may never visit San Francisco while creating new opportunities for art to enrich daily life around the world.”
