Samsung has rolled out an important update for Pentastic, a Good Lock module for customizing the S Pen experience on Galaxy S Ultra models. It fixes an issue with Air Command types on One UI 8. The update is available to download on supported models worldwide.

New Pentastic update fixes Air Command problems

Pentastic lets Galaxy users customize the Air Command interface, floating icon, pointer, and sound for the S Pen. Samsung offers a bunch of presets and also lets you create custom solutions for a more personalized S Pen experience.

However, on Galaxy devices running One UI 8, users faced issues with Air Command interfaces. Samsung has now addressed those bugs with the latest update for Pentastic. The update introduces version 2.3.19 of the app and may also contain additional bug fixes and stability improvements. The official release notes mention nothing more.

For the uninitiated, Air Command is the floating menu that appears when users remove the stylus or press the S Pen button, providing quick access to features such as screen writing, smart select, and other stylus tools. It is different from Air Actions, which are Bluetooth-powered S Pen features. Samsung dropped Bluetooth support from the S Pen starting with the Galaxy S25 Ultra last year.

Unsurprisingly, this year’s Galaxy S26 Ultra doesn’t support Air Actions either. There have been rumors that Samsung might completely remove the built-in S Pen from Ultra flagships. It allegedly plans to offer the stylus as an optional external accessory. While we do not have confirmation on that, a company executive recently revealed that Samsung is working on an advanced version of the S Pen for the future.

The updated Pentastic plugin is now rolling out through the Galaxy Store and the Good Lock platform. As with most Galaxy Store updates, availability may vary by country, but such releases typically become available worldwide within a short time.
