Galaxy S26 Ultra Handles PC and Console Emulation Surprisingly Well

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is apparently what most people want from the trio, according to Samsung’s announcement. It comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 worldwide, and a YouTuber put it to the test. According to the results, the Galaxy S26 Ultra shows strong console and PC game emulation performance.
Galaxy S26 Ultra turns into a capable PC gaming machine with DeX
ETA Prime showed how capable the Galaxy S26 Ultra can be for gaming, especially when paired with DeX mode. DeX supports multi-window multitasking, allowing users to resize and snap apps while working across multiple desktops. The setup can also output up to 4K resolution when using Good Lock’s MultiStar. This unlocks higher resolution options for external displays.
The YouTuber first tested several native Android titles and found that the phone could easily run them at max graphical settings. However, the more interesting results came from PC game emulation.

Using the GameHub tool, several PC titles were run locally on the phone. Hollow Knight: Silksong ran at more than 60 FPS, showing that lighter PC titles can run smoothly on the device. The Witcher 3 was also tested at 720p with medium graphics settings and maintained performance above 50 FPS.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra can run Cyberpunk 2077, and that’s kind of wild

Even more demanding games were playable. Cyberpunk 2077 was emulated at 720p with low settings and hovered between 28 and 30 FPS, which is notable considering the game was running locally on the phone rather than through cloud streaming.
Beyond PC gaming, the Galaxy S26 Ultra also handled console emulation well. Through the Dolphin emulator, several Nintendo GameCube and Wii games, including Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Auto Modelista, and Super Smash Bros., ran smoothly at 4x resolution. PlayStation 2 emulation also looked impressive. Using NetherSX2, titles such as Gran Turismo 3 maintained a steady 60 FPS, while Metal Gear Solid 2, Sly Cooper, and Tekken 5 also ran smoothly.
