Galaxy S26 Series Preorders Up 25%, Galaxy S26 Ultra Leads the Pack

It’s been almost two weeks since Samsung pulled the wraps off the Galaxy S26 series. Shortly after the announcement, preorders for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra opened. Today, Samsung says the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the model most people are picking.

In a press release, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S26 series is selling like hotcakes. Preorder volume is up nearly 25% compared to the Galaxy S25 series, and 80% of all preorders are for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It’s still too early for the company to reveal total sales figures. Worth noting, however, is that even last year the top choice was the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Moreover, the company says major carriers are seeing a little over a 70% increase in preorders compared to the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung also noted that Best Buy’s double storage upgrade promotion has been a strong hit as well. That isn’t too surprising, especially since Samsung didn’t offer the same double storage upgrade through its own store.
