Google May Bring Personal Intelligence to Gemini Live

Google appears to make its AI assistant more personal and useful. A fresh report suggests that Gemini Live could soon support a feature called Personal Intelligence. This could allow the AI to use information from a user’s Google apps to offer more relevant answers.
Personal Intelligence could make its way to Gemini Live
For the uninitiated, Gemini Live is a natural way to interact with an AI chatbot. Instead of typing questions, you can speak with the assistant in real time, share the camera or screen, and receive spoken responses. The feature is part of Gemini, Google’s AI assistant. The company now appears to be improving the feature with deeper personalization.
While digging through the Google app for Android (version 17.9.50.sa.arm64), folks over at Android Authority have discovered a couple of strings in the code. The first reads, “Try a version of Gemini Live that uses your personal context.” Another string says, “Try a version of Gemini Live that uses past conversations and your connected apps to provide more personalized responses.”
The publication believes the mention of “personal context” refers to Personal Intelligence. In January this year, Google brought Personal Intelligence to its Gemini to make the AI assistant more helpful in day-to-day tasks. The feature allows Gemini to analyze information from apps like Gmail, Google Photos, Google Calendar, and Google Drive. As such, the assistant can deliver answers based on personal activity, such as finding your car model from an email and checking details from a receipt.
The same capability now appears to be coming to Gemini Live, though the exact timeline remains unclear. Google may initially restrict access to paid subscribers of its AI plans, such as AI Pro and AI Ultra. Eventually, it should become available to free users. We’ll let you know when Gemini Live gains support for Personal Intelligence.
