Samsung Reimagines “Over the Horizon” Ahead of Galaxy S26 Launch

Samsung brings its Galaxy brand sound, Over the Horizon, back in a new form for 2026. This comes just days before the unveiling of the company’s much-awaited Galaxy S26 series. The new flagship lineup should feature this updated version of Samsung’s signature sound for a fresh experience.

Samsung continues to express its brand philosophy through music

Each year, Samsung reimagines Over the Horizon in a different musical style. In 2024, the company introduced a version inspired by traditional Korean orchestral music. In 2025, the sound embraced the dynamic rhythms and soulful harmonies of big band jazz. The 2026 edition comes with the theme “A Soundtrack of the Earth.” Samsung says, “The piece illustrates both the grandeur and delicacy of nature, portraying a harmonious coexistence between technology and the planet.”

Los Angeles-based pianist and composer Eunike Tanzil caught Samsung’s attention after sharing her reinterpretation of the theme on social media in 2024. As such, the company collaborated with her to arrange the 2026 edition of Over the Horizon. Tanzil translates elements of nature into sound. The majestic opening represents towering mountains, while the smooth string section in the middle recalls the calm sea. She also used the angklung, a traditional Indonesian instrument, in the Western orchestral arrangement.

“Blending instruments with different identities was an enjoyable challenge and became a meaningful chapter in my musical journey,” said Tanzil. Performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Samsung recorded the new edition at Abbey Road Studios in London. For an immersive listening experience, Producer and engineer Jonathan Allen used Dolby Atmos technology.
