Even though it is February, Samsung has not finished rolling out the January 2026 security update. The company has already delivered last month’s patch to many Galaxy devices, but a few are still waiting. Today, Samsung also began expanding the January 2026 security update to the Galaxy Watch 6 in additional regions.

Galaxy Watch 6 picks up January 2026 security update in India

Samsung is now rolling out the latest security update to the Galaxy Watch 6 Bluetooth variant in India. As spotted by Tarun Vats on X, the build version is R950XXS1CZA1. The update weighs in at around 157.99MB and, more importantly, is the first update since the Watch 6 received One UI 8 Watch.

The January 2026 security update brings fixes for more than 50 security issues. Some are Android-specific patches, while the rest address Samsung-specific vulnerabilities. Four of the issues are classified as critical, but once your device is updated, you should be in the clear.

You can download the update directly on your Galaxy Watch 6 by heading to Settings > Software update, or via your connected phone using the Galaxy Wearable app. If it has not shown up yet, there is no need to worry. Samsung typically rolls out OTA updates in stages over several days.
