Exynos 2600 Tested Again as Galaxy S26 Hits Geekbench

After the Galaxy S26+, the base S26 model has surfaced on Geekbench, running the Exynos 2600 chipset. The new benchmark listing gives us a fresh look at the CPU and GPU performance of Samsung’s latest in-house flagship processor. The chip has made meaningful progress compared to previous generations.

Galaxy S26 spotted with Samsung’s Exynos 2600 processor

In most global markets, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are expected to ship with Exynos 2600, while the S26 Ultra is likely to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor worldwide. The Plus model recently surfaced on Geekbench with the new Exynos chip, posting promising figures for CPU tests. Now, the base Galaxy S26 has appeared on the same platform, delivering comparable performance.

The device recorded 3,336 points in single-core and 11,369 points in multi-core CPU tests on Geekbench v6.5. On the graphics side, it scored 27,478 points in the platform’s Vulkan GPU test. These results place the Exynos 2600 firmly in flagship territory and represent a notable jump over earlier Exynos chips, particularly in sustained multi-core workloads.

The Exynos 2600 features a deca-core CPU with a tri-cluster layout. There’s one C1 Ultra& prime core clocked at 3.8GHz, three C1 Pro performance cores running at 3.26GHz, and six more C1 Pro cores peaking at 2.76GHz. This “all big core” CPU design appears to strike a better balance between peak performance and efficiency than Samsung’s previous designs.

The GPU performance, meanwhile, is driven by Samsung’s Xclipse 960 GPU, which is based on AMD graphics technology. The Vulkan score suggests strong gains in gaming, rendering, and GPU-accelerated workloads. The Galaxy S26 lineup has consistently produced Geekbench scores in these ranges, suggesting that Samsung has largely resolved early performance variability.

The benchmark listing also confirms 12GB of RAM for the Galaxy S26. Samsung may offer the phone in 256GB and 512GB storage options, though we may still see a 128GB variant in some markets. The entire S26 lineup will ship with Samsung’s One UI 8.5 software experience based on Android 16. Stay tuned for the official launch later this month.
