Samsung Testing New One UI 8.5 Beta Build for Galaxy S25

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 development appears to be moving again after a brief slowdown. After nearly a month without a new beta, reportedly due to critical bugs uncovered during internal testing, the company has now uploaded a fresh beta build to its servers. The move signals renewed progress and suggests that One UI 8.5 Beta 4 could soon roll out for the Galaxy S25 series.
Samsung prepares a new One UI 8.5 beta build after a brief slowdown
Samsung has already rolled out three One UI 8.5 beta updates for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, with each arriving exactly two weeks after the previous one. However, almost a month has passed since Beta 3, and there’s no new beta release yet. An industry insider recently claimed that the company discovered serious stability issues during internal testing, hence delaying Beta 4.
We still do not know when Samsung will push the next beta to the Galaxy S25 lineup. However, a new beta build has recently appeared on the official servers. According to tipster Tarun Vats, build version ZZAJ is now live on Samsung’s servers, confirming ongoing development. If everything goes well, it could roll out to beta testers in the coming days. The next release should drive the platform toward full stability ahead of the final version.
Unfortunately, there’s still no sign of a One UI 8.5 beta program for other devices. Users must wait for the stable release, which is confirmed to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series in late February. A wider rollout for existing models should begin in the second half of March, though it could be delayed until April or later. We’ll continue tracking developments and will share updates as soon as we have more information.
