Samsung has released a new beta update for Samsung Internet for PC with version 29.0.0.151. The update brings a few useful improvements to Split View and Side Panel so you get a better browsing experience. It is automatically rolling out to eligible users through the browser’s update system.

What’s new in Samsung Internet for PC beta 29.0.0.151?

Samsung has recently improved the beta version of its PC Internet browser to prepare for a stable release with fewer issues. The latest update improves Split View behavior when opening new tabs side by side. While this feature makes multitasking on a single screen easier, it did not previously display the background image on newly opened tabs. Thankfully, the company has now fixed the issue, so you get a more consistent browsing experience.

Furthermore, the update also improves the Side Panel feature with pop-up blocking support. Previously, pop-up blocking did not function in the Side Panel, allowing some websites to show unwanted pop-ups. Now, it works properly, helping users enjoy a less distracting browsing experience.

For the uninitiated, Samsung Internet for PC offers a seamless experience between mobile and PCs. The browser lets users sync bookmarks, browsing history, and other data using a Samsung account. It also features Samsung Pass for secure sign-ins and autofill capabilities in supported websites. On top of that, you get a prompt to resume browsing sessions when switching from a mobile to a PC.

Last year, Samsung released a beta version of its PC Internet browser in select regions, including South Korea and the United States. However, the company recently made the beta available for everyone, regardless of location (you can download it here). It looks like the firm is nearing the removal of the beta label. The browser has already become more stable, picking up nine updates so far. We will let you know when it pushes a stable build of the PC browser.
