Samsung appears to be zeroing in on the finer details to improve the Galaxy S26’s camera output. Earlier rumors suggested the company was fine-tuning aspects such as flare control and skin tone rendering. A well-known tipster has now backed those claims, lending strong credibility to the reports.

Galaxy S26 tipped to reproduce accurate skin tones

For years, Samsung’s camera algorithms have faced criticism for producing unnatural skin tone tints. Noted tipster Ice Universe has repeatedly called out the issue. It appears the upcoming Galaxy S26 series will finally address the problem. According to the tipster, Samsung’s new flagships are capable of rendering far more natural-looking skin tones than their predecessors.

“The new camera algorithm of the Galaxy S26 Ultra accurately reproduces skin color, achieving what you see is what you get. I am very satisfied with its performance regarding skin color this time,” they posted on X. As mentioned above, earlier leaks have hinted at similar improvements, so Samsung must have tackled the issue this time around.

Beyond improved color science, the Galaxy S26 series may introduce several new camera features. Video Softening should help reduce harsh digital sharpening and make footage look more natural, while the new 24MP mode is expected to strike a balance between detail and image quality. Taken together, these additions suggest Samsung is refining the camera experience at a software and usability level, not just relying on sensor specs.

With the official launch expected on February 25, leaks about the Galaxy S26 series may continue to come thick and fast.
