Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold secures CNET’s CES 2026 awards
US tech journal CNET featured the Galaxy Z TriFold on its winners list of the Best of CES 2026 Awards. The outlet worked with the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), where a judging panel of more than 40 technology experts picked the winners. They praised the devices’ eye-catching design and genuine utility.
“This slim device lives up to the promise of a foldable, full-size tablet-phone hybrid that’s as functional as it is pocketable,” CNET said. “Its futuristic allure and seamless practicality elevate the tech while keeping it within reach.” Basically, Galaxy Z TriFold stood out for its unique folding mechanism and cutting-edge features.
Unlike regular foldables that fold once, the TriFold uses a dual-hinge design that allows the display to fold twice. The device features a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X folding inner screen. When unfolded, it offers a tablet-like experience for multitasking. When folded, it turns into a 6.5-inch smartphone so you can carry it easily.
Galaxy Z TriFold features the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which has already proven to deliver solid performance. The phone packs a 200MP main camera for professional-grade photography. It uses a 5,600 mAh battery (spread across three cells) and supports 45W fast wired charging.
As of now, Galaxy Z TriFold is available in select markets, including South Korea, China, and the UAE. Samsung will make the phone available in the United States in the first quarter of 2026. The device might hit the store shelves at about $2,500 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version. We will let you know when the company confirms the US release date and pricing.
