Samsung Not Done with One UI 8.5 Beta Yet, Next Release Soon

Samsung doesn’t appear to be finished with One UI 8.5 beta testing just yet. While there’s no indication of the beta expanding to other devices, the Galaxy S25 series may soon receive another update. A reliable Samsung insider suggests that the fourth beta build could arrive early next week.
One UI 8.5 Beta 4 could arrive around January 19–20
According to Tarun Vats, Samsung may push the fourth One UI 8.5 beta update to Galaxy S25 users on January 19 or January 20. The same source accurately predicted the release dates of all three previous beta builds, so there’s little reason to doubt their latest claim. The rumored dates also align perfectly with the current pattern.
Since launching One UI 8.5 Beta, Samsung has maintained a two-week gap between two beta releases, with each new build dropping on a Monday. The last release came on January 5, so a January 19 (also a Monday) release of Beta 4 makes sense. Even with a slight delay, we may get the next beta release on January 20.
That said, Samsung could change plans anytime, particularly if it discovers major issues during the development cycle. We will keep a close eye on the ongoing developments and let you know accordingly.
Unfortunately, there are no signs of Samsung expanding the One UI 8.5 Beta program. So far, the beta program is limited to the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in the US, the UK, Germany, India, Poland, and South Korea, and it may not expand to additional devices or regions. Or maybe the company has some surprises up its sleeves; we shall find out soon.
As for the final release, it may go live in March or April this year. The Galaxy S26 series should arrive in early March with One UI 8.5 out of the box, with the update expanding to other models a few days later. We will keep you posted.
