Samsung’s flagship phones usually burn bright and fade fast. In typical fashion, there’s a huge launch splash (sometimes, record numbers during the pre-order window), and then the attention shifts to the next model. But the Galaxy S25 appears to be tearing up that playbook. New sales data suggests the Galaxy S25 series has found an unexpected second wind months after launch.

Galaxy S25 sales data points to late-market strength

According to a sales chart shared by Ice Universe on X, the Galaxy S25 series shows a noticeable rebound around its eighth and ninth months on the market. Instead of continuing its gradual decline, weekly sales ticked upward, something that almost never happens for these phones. Check out the sales chart with data from Counterpoint and Hana Financial Investment, shared by Ice Universe.

The numbers are quite expressive, in any case. Ice Universe adds that this is due to “aggressive pricing, carrier push, enterprise orders, or Samsung deliberately stepping in to extend the product’s lifecycle”. They go on to compare it, saying the chart makes it closer to an “iPhone-style lifecycle strategy.”

As someone who closely monitors Samsung and its products, I’d agree with Ice that there’s been aggressive pricing and a bunch of deals worth taking during these months. Some promotions even dropped the price to $849, much lower than its usual $1,299 launch price.

Another thing is that if you look at the chart closely, you’ll notice overall better sales starting with the Galaxy S24 series. One reason for that would be Samsung’s push for seven years of upgrades, which makes these phones worth buying even when you’re picking them up after a year. You know, you’ve got six more years of upgrades left.

It’d be even more interesting to see how the Galaxy S26 series fares in similar charts. A company adding a bunch of features to a phone is one thing, and how the market and end consumers, i.e., buyers, react to a product is another. But the latter is more important, obviously, and for more obvious reasons.
