Galaxy S26+ Battery and Charging Details Surface via TUV Certification

Samsung’s gearing up to host Galaxy Unpacked, reportedly on February 25, where the company will announce the Galaxy S26 trio. A bunch of rumors about the upcoming phones have already made their way out, and now a listing on TUV certification may’ve revealed the battery capacity of the Galaxy S26+.
Galaxy S26+ shows up on TUV database, confirming battery and charging details
The Tech Outlook spotted the Galaxy S26+ with model numbers SM-S947B and SM-S947U. Keen Samsung users may already know that these model numbers were previously assigned to the Galaxy S26 Edge. It has since been canceled, so they’ve now been reassigned to the Galaxy S26+. What the certification reveals is that the Galaxy S26+ will come with a 4,755mAh battery.

For what it’s worth, the two model numbers refer to the international variant (ending in B), and the US variant (ending in U). Coming back to the battery capacity, it’s essentially the same rated capacity as its predecessor. The certification says the Galaxy S26+ will use a lithium-ion battery with a 4,755mAh capacity, which’ll likely be marketed as 4,900mAh. So we won’t see any battery upgrades this time, which lines up with previous rumors.

In addition, the certification also reveals that it’ll feature the same wired charging speeds as its predecessor. That means the same 45W wired charging speed, unlike the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which’ll feature 60W wired charging. More importantly, what the certification doesn’t reveal is the wireless charging speed.
Time and again, reports and evidence have suggested that Samsung could add Qi2 magnetic charging to the Galaxy S26 lineup. If and when that happens, that’d be the real charging upgrade for the non-Ultra variants. Besides that, we’ve also managed to confirm that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may not be the only model with a Privacy Display feature.
