Samsung has rolled out two rounds of the One UI 8.5 beta, but it’s available only for the Galaxy S25 series, and only in select regions. At the same time, the company’s expanding One UI 8.5 testing. And the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series has become the latest addition alongside others.

Samsung starts testing One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series

As spotted by Alfatürk on X, Samsung has started internally testing One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series. Of course, both the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ are eligible for One UI 8.5. If this is any indication, Samsung is laying the groundwork for a larger update set to arrive in the coming months.

The build version in question is X520XXU5BYL3. And to clear up any doubt, you can’t install this version yet. Samsung will likely roll out the One UI 8.5 stable release alongside the Galaxy S26 series, which may hit store shelves in March. That means it will take additional time for other devices to receive the latest firmware.

Both the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ launched earlier this year. They shipped with Android 15-based One UI 7 and are promised seven years of updates. If that holds true, they should receive software updates through 2031, or up to Android 22, also known as One UI 14.

In related news, Samsung has also started testing One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy Tab S10 series. This comes nearly a week after the company began One UI 8.5 testing for the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Oddly enough, firmware testing hasn’t yet begun for the Galaxy Tab S11 series.
