Samsung Expands One UI 8.5 Testing to Galaxy A26, A54 and Tab S10 Ultra

Samsung has begun internal One UI 8.5 testing for several Galaxy devices. Over the past few weeks, One UI 8.5 test builds have appeared on Samsung’s test servers. This shows that the company is actively working on the update. Now, the Galaxy A26, Galaxy A54 and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra have also surfaced with One UI 8.5 test builds.
One UI 8.5 builds for Galaxy A26, A54 and Tab S10 Ultra spotted on test server
As shared by tipster Akhilesh Kumar on X, the Galaxy A26 has been spotted with a One UI 8.5 build on Samsung’s test servers. The build has appeared in regions like India, Europe, and Turkey. The firmware version for the device is A266BXXU6CYL2. As usual, this does not mean that the update will roll out anytime soon. It simply confirms that Samsung has started internal testing for the Galaxy A26.

Samsung has also begun One UI 8.5 testing for the Galaxy A54. It has appeared on test servers in Europe and carries the build version A546BXXUGFYL1 (h/t Akhilesh).
Apart from the Galaxy A26 and A54, several other Galaxy A series models have already appeared with One UI 8.5 builds. These include the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A55, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A55, Galaxy A33, Galaxy A17 5G, and Galaxy A16 5G. Upcoming models like the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 have also been spotted. They are expected to launch with One UI 8.5 out of the box.

One UI 8.5 build for Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra shows strange behavior
Samsung has also begun early One UI 8.5 testing for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. The first build spotted is for the global 5G variant (SM-X926B). The PDA version is X926BXXU5CYL1. This is a bit strange because its One UI 8 build used the “CY” tag. Therefore, the One UI 8.5 build is expected to move to “DY“. The baseband version is also unusual, as it has 12 letters instead of the usual 13. This is very strange but since this is a very early internal build, such inconsistencies can happen and should get corrected in later builds.

The update size for this build is around 3.83 GB and carries the December 2025 security patch. Other tablets already spotted with One UI 8.5 builds include the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series, Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra.
If your Galaxy device is eligible for One UI 8.5 and has not appeared on test servers yet, it should show up soon. Samsung usually tests updates gradually across its lineup. We will keep tracking new One UI 8.5 builds and update you as more devices join the list.
